Having worked for a number of years as an specialist Accident and Emergency based physiotherapist within a large London teaching hospital David has highly specialist training and keen interest in the diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and sub-acute soft tissue injuries and spinal disorders. Eirian Rees eirian@complete-physio.co.uk Clinical Director, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP SRP Eirian has gained extensive experience in musculoskeletal physiotherapy since graduating in 2000. The vast majority of his career has been spent in the private sector working in a busy sports injury and spinal clinic environment. This has allowed him to work alongside a broad spectrum of athletic abilities ranging from elite to amateur in addition to treating the regular everyday orthopaedic problems suffered by non-sportspeople. He hails from a rugby background and has worked with several teams from as far a field as Toronto, Canada, to South East London and Kent. When not at the Kentish Town clinic, Eirian still does some work for the NHS in a clinical specialist capacity taking responsibility for the training of newly qualified physiotherapists and students. “ It’s a great feeling when you’ve worked with someone through their injury from beginning to end, seeing them back to full fitness so they can get on with things, be it on the professional sporting field or in everyday life ” |

Michael Crebbin michael@complete-physio.co.uk MSc, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP Michael studied an undergraduate degree in Sports Therapy which incorporated extensive Sports Massage training. During this time he also worked in professional football. Since undertaking a pre-registration Masters degree in Physiotherapy Michael has progressed rapidly and now works in health care and GP settings within the NHS as a Highly Specialist Physiotherapist. He has also developed and run Pilates based exercise classes and Back Rehabilitation Groups. Whilst working as a Physiotherapist Michael has studied postgraduate courses in Orthopaedic Medicine, Spinal Manipulation and Acupunture and is now undertaking an additional post-graduate diploma in Manual Therapy to quench his thirst for knowledge. Michael is an active club cyclist and enjoys assessing and treating both recreational and professional athletes from a range of sporting disciplines. He has played youth football and tennis to county standard and has also competed in national freestyle karate tournaments. To maintain his breadth of knowledge he continues to work in academy football and has travelled overseas with teams to provide Physiotherapy support. |

Scott Newton scott@complete-physio.co.uk BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP Since gaining a 1st Class Bsc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy Scott has gained wide ranging experience in the area of musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Scott’s keen interest in sports injuries is reflected in his BSc (Hons) degree in Sports Science and his experience of working with the England Blind Cricket Team, Nottingham Panthers Elite Ice Hockey League team and national level mixed martial arts (MMA) and thai boxing competitors. Scott continues to work in the NHS where he works as a full-time musculoskeletal physiotherapist working in GP practices and a large primary care trust outpatient physiotherapy clinic where he is responsible for assessing, treating and diagnosing acute and chronic musculoskeletal pain. In this role he leads the Pilates based rehabilitation group. Scott has continued to develop his knowledge and is currently studying for a Orthopaedic Medicine Diploma and has already completed Masters Level study in Musculoskeletal Triage. “Whether it’s an acute sporting injury or a more chronic complaint, nothing gives me greater satisfaction than being able to guide someone back to full fitness and maximise their potential to get back to whatever activity is important to them”. |

Zhijin Tang zhijin@complete-physio.co.uk MD (Beijing), Registered Acupuncturist, ATCM & Royal Society of Medicine Member Zhijin graduated from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine as an Orthopaedics Surgeon. Through a number of years practice in hospitals in China, Dr Tang has closely evolved in using a combination of traditional acupuncture to deal with many post surgery conditions, especially in the field of soft tissue and certain neurological related conditions. Since he moved to the UK, Dr Tang has been worked very closely with various academic organisations in the UK, he currently is a senior lecturer and clinical supervisor in Shulan College of Chinese Medicine, and a guest lecturer at the School of Medicine, University of Leeds. Dr Tang has also been invited to be a committee member of the Association of Chinese Medicine Academic Council (UK). Zhijin's specialist areas include acupuncture for treating sciatica, arthritis and soft tissue injuries. With over ten years practice in the UK, Dr Tang has also proven that acupuncture can effectively help with some skin disorders (Ezema, Psorisis, Acne), allergy relief, and various gynaecological disorders, such as the menopause and PMT. |

Lauren Ray lauren@complete-physio.co.uk Injury Management Consultant, BSc (Occupational Therapy), HPC Registered, Member BAOT, VRA & UKRC Lauren has five years experience in workplace based injury prevention and injury management. An Occupational Therapist since 2005, Lauren was employed as a Principal Consultant with the largest provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services in Australia. She relocated to London in 2009 and has carried on this work with Complete-Physio. Workplace injury management is Lauren's specialty and her level of expertise is rarely found within the UK. She has assessed individuals with a wide range of sporting, occupational and general injuries and assisted them to manage these injuries in the workplace. This involves conducting ergonomic and task assessments at the individual's workstation, assessing their capacity for work and providing recommendations to assist with managing the injury at work. Lauren works as a part of our team to minimise the impact of work on our patient's recovery, and the impact of the injury on our patient's ability to work. |

Starna Forster starna@complete-physio.co.uk Shiatsu Practitioner, Member of the Professional Register of Shiatsu Society Starna is a shiatsu practitioner and studied at The London College of Shiatsu for 3 years.She has a natural understanding and compassion for people. When she is not working she practices yoga and meditation. Like acupuncture, shiatsu is based on the holistic system of traditional Chinese medicine, where illness is thought to result from imbalances in the natural flow of energy, or qi (pronounced "chee") through the body. “I am very passionate about Shiatsu and the effect it has on the body. I have worked with various clients with a range of different ailments such as osteoarthritis, HIV positive, insomnia, anxiety, depression, migraines, panic attacks, shock and many more.” |

Thomas Dekkers thomas@complete-physio.co.uk Chartered Physiotherapist MSc, MSOM, MCSP, MAACP, HPC & CSP Member Thomas qualified with a 1st Class Honours Degree in Physiology from Universiy College Cork, Ireland in 2005. Following this he gained a pre-registration Masters in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia in 2008. Since qualifying he has worked in public and private sectors gaining valuable experience working with a range of patients, including professional football and rugby players with acute, chronic and post operative injuries. He currently works as a Senior Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist in the NHS and Private Practice. He has achieved a Post-Graduate Diploma with The Society of Orthopaedic Medicine and has a keen interest in Sports Rehabilitation and spinal pain. He has also undertaken post-graduate training in Acupuncture, Pilates and many types of Manual Therapy ensuring that his patient's receive the best possible treatment for their condition. " Once a diagnosis has been made, I believe that best results can be achieved using a number of different treatment approaches. I aim to decrease pain and stimulate faster healing with manual therapy and acupuncture. I then outline a specific exercise program to fully rehabilitate my patient's and prevent their problems coming back.
