Acupuncture
Acupuncture, one of the oldest and most commonly used medical procedures in the world, has recently been medically proven as an effective treatment for infertility.
Although often described as a means of pain relief, acupuncture it is in fact used to treat people with a wide range of illnesses. Traditionally, acupuncture is an holistic approach to the management of disease as well as the day-to-day maintenance of health.
Acupuncture regards pain and illness, whether physical or mental, to be a sign that the body is out of balance. Because traditional acupuncture considers every bodily function to be connected and interdependent, it recognises the role emotions play in illness and disease. The overall aim of treatment is to restore the body's equilibrium. By inserting fine needles into specific body points, acupuncture can stimulate the body’s own healing response and help restore its natural balance. A growing body of evidence-based clinical research shows that traditional acupuncture safely treats a wide range of common health problems.
Our senior practitioner, Dr. Zhijin Tang, a trained surgeon (Beijing), has many years practice of acupuncture in treating various conditions, from soft tissue injuries to gynaecological illnesses. “Depending on the way acupuncture is applied, the patient may immediately feel the benefit of the treatment. For pain relief, sometimes there can be dramatic improvement after just one session, whereas a series of acupuncture treatments are usually required to improve fatigue or insomnia for example”, said Dr Tang.
Dr Zhijin Tang is a firm believer of a holistic approach to all health care. With over ten years practice in the UK, Dr Tang has also accumulated rich clinical experiences in acupuncture treating a wide range of conditions, such as Eczema, Psoriasis, Allergies, Menopause, PMT, Fatigue, and Depression.
Dr Tang runs his specialist acupuncture clinic on a Mondays and Wednesdays.
