Chris Myers chris@complete-physio.co.uk Clinical Director, MSc Sports Medicine, BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP MHPC Since qualifying as a physiotherapist Chris has gained extensive experience in the treatment of sports injuries and musculoskeletal pain. His background is in the NHS (Clinical Specialist Musculoskeletal), professional sport (Tottenham Hotspur FC) and private practice. He is trained to Masters level in Sports Medicine and uses a variety of treatment techniques to get clients out of pain and back to full function. “ I see so many different people in my work, each with their own unique problems. Whether it be a sport related problem or one that's occured as a result of their normal daily life, the satisfaction I get from working with the patient to identify and treat their injury so they can get back to what they want to be doing is what it's all about! ” |

Emerson Fernandez emerson@complete-physio.co.uk BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy MCSP SRP Emerson has gained a diverse knowledge of assessing and treating a wide variety of musculo-skeletal conditions whilst working at large teaching hospitals in Essex and London, GP practices and privately with professional football players. His main interests are sports injuries including the ankle, knee and shoulder, pre and post operative rehabilitation and the management of chronic pain conditions. Since qualifying a physiotherapist, Emerson has attended numerous post graduate courses including joint manipulations and with a background personal training, is well placed to progress you from initial injury to return to function seamlessly. Jonathan McComish jonathan@complete-physio.co.uk MCSP, MHPC & MAACP Jonathans' work in the NHS and private clinics includes the assessment of both acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions throughout the body and treatment with manual therapy, electrotherapy, exercise therapy and hydrotherapy. He is also involved in the pre/post operative treatment of common orthopaedic conditions such as hip/knee replacement and routine shoulder and knee surgery. Post graduate education and courses include an extensive in-service training programme within the NHS, including acupuncture, osteopathic manipulative techniques, shoulder management and sports injury rehab. Jonathan has also been working for London Swimming and Ipswich Town FC for the past 3 years. Jonathans’ background is mainly sport based, having played semi-professional football in Suffolk and Essex . His interest lies heavily in musculoskeletal disorders and in particular sports injuries and rehabilitation. These activities and Jonathans’ own experience of being injured gives him a valuable understanding of what is required from a specific treatment and rehabilitation programme balancing the need to heal with the urgency to return to competition. |

Lauren Ray lauren@complete-physio.co.uk Injury Management Consultant, BSc (Occupational Therapy), HPC Registered, Member BAOT, VRA & UKRC Lauren has five years experience in workplace based injury prevention and injury management. An Occupational Therapist since 2005, Lauren was employed as a Principal Consultant with the largest provider of Occupational Rehabilitation services in Australia. She relocated to London in 2009 and has carried on this work with Complete-Physio. Workplace injury management is Lauren's specialty and her level of expertise is rarely found within the UK. She has assessed individuals with a wide range of sporting, occupational and general injuries and assisted them to manage these injuries in the workplace. This involves conducting ergonomic and task assessments at the individual's workstation, assessing their capacity for work and providing recommendations to assist with managing the injury at work. Lauren works as a part of our team to minimise the impact of work on our patient's recovery, and the impact of the injury on our patient's ability to work. |

James Bradley james@complete-physio.co.uk Chartered Physiotherapist, HPC & CSP Member A qualified sports scientist with experience as a personal trainer, James then went on to achieve a distinction in an MSc Physiotherapy degree and has since been working in a large teaching hospital in Central London. He has worked with a wide variety of cliental from chronic pain to professional footballers. He has a particular interest in the lower limb and sports rehabilitation, having worked alongside elite athletes. James enjoys numerous activities from triathlons to football and has competed up to a semi-professional level. He has recently completed a 4000 mile cycle for charity across the US. ‘I feel my background in Sports Science and Personal training has really helped focus my Physiotherapeutic skills. There is nothing better than working alongside a patient to achieve their goals, whether that be returning to work or competing at a competition.’ |

Marsha Evans marsha@complete-physio.co.uk Chartered Physiotherapist, HPC & CSP Member Since undertaking Sports science degree in 2002 and a pre-registration Masters degree in Physiotherapy at Brighton University 5 years ago Marsha has progressed rapidly and now works within the NHS and in the Private Sector as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist. Marsha also has over 5 years of specialist Sports Experience working extensively with elite and non-elite athletes: UK athletics, GB synchronized swimming, super-league Netball, GB triathlon, GB fencing, GB Masters Athletics, UK Schools Games and the British University Games. “This experience has helped me to gain an understanding of the mechanical demands on the body, which allows us to guide the rehabilitation specifically to an individual’s needs”. “I am passionate about Sports Medicine because of its effectiveness to rehabilitate a client back to sport. I am especially interested in the later stages of rehabilitation and returning the client to full pre-injury activity”. Whilst working as a Physiotherapist Marsha is currently studying postgraduate courses in Orthopaedic Medicine, Acupuncture and training to become a Pilates instructor and is working towards silver Accreditation from the ACPSM (Association of Physiotherapists in Sports Medicine). |
